A LOCAL branch of the citizen's group 38 Degrees will hold its first meeting in Skipton this weekend.
Last year members of 38 Degrees demonstrated in the town against TTIP the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership currently being negotiated between the United States and the European Union.
The demonstrations led to the creation of a local group willing to campaign on issues of shared concern such as the privatisation of the National Health Service and fracking without consent.
Now it is inviting anyone interested to an open discussion meeting in Christ Church Hall on Saturday at 2pm. Refreshments will be provided.
