INTERNATIONAL soprano Sarah Fox is the latest headline act to be announced by Grassington Festival.
The Giggleswick-born singer will perform in the Festival in the Field Marquee as part of the Last Night of the Proms event on Wednesday, June 24.
She will join Skipton Building Society Camerata.
Sarah, who was educated at Giggleswick School, has gone on to sing at Glyndebourne, The Royal Opera House, Salzburg, Munich, Berlin and San Francisco, performing alongside some of the world’s greatest singers.
She also starred in the BBC MGM Prom, with John Wilson and his Orchestra, and served as one of the judges on Gareth Malone’s The Choir: Sing While You Work.
The festival will run from Friday, June 12, and will provide 15 days of varied arts and music events.
Other headline acts already announced include poet, writer and broadcaster Pam Ayres on Thursday, June 25, contemporary folk band Bellowhead on Friday, June 26, and a Last Night Party featuring Roland Gift from Fine Young Cannibals and special guests Heaven 17 on Saturday, June 27.
