PUPILS at Barnoldswick school have raised nearly £200 for the Children’s Society
Year seven and eight students at West Craven High School raised a total of £189.12 for the charity by carrying out a number of events in December.
As part of an initiative to raise money for the charity, which helps transform the lives of children suffering through poverty and neglect,
two forms of year seven pupils raised money through bake sales, a chocolate raffle, guess the reindeer's name and a poster competition.
One form of year eight students raised money by challenging themselves with a sponsored silence and doing a lucky dip and another year eight form arranged a bake sale.
Some students also held a Masterchef class baking and decorating of seasonal treats, which they sold to raise money for the charity.
