RESCUERS went to the aid of a walker, with a suspected fractured ankle.
The 62-year-old man slipped on the snow-covered limestone pavement at the top of Malham Cove on Sunday afternoon.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being stretchered by members of the Clapham-based Cave Rescue Organisation to an air ambulance. He was then flown to hospital.
