THE Austwick Community Players are busy rehearsing another fun-filled show entitled The Lamb with the Golden Fleece.
Based on a newly discovered sheep-themed legend, it sees local characters and foreigners joining forces to give bankers their comeuppance.
But in a world where money so often rules, the outcome is not certain until the last page of the script.
In a tradition going back some 40 years, the play has been written, produced and will be performed by people from Austwick and Lawkland parishes.
It will be previewed at the annual Over 65s supper evening, with public performances taking place in the Austwick Parish Hall next Friday and Saturday, March 6 and 7, at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £6 for adults (which includes a glass of wine) and £2.50 children (soft drink) and are available from Crossleigh Stores, telephone 015242 51415, or from the secretary on 015242 51269.
