THIS week's snowy weather has been blamed for a number of crashes.
Two people were injured when a Toyota Hiace and Nissan Qashqai collided on the icy Settle Bypass shortly before 4pm on Sunday.
The driver of the Toyota, a 33-year-old Bradford man, suffered a facial injury and the passenger in the Nissan, a 69-year-old Accrington woman, sustained neck and back injuries. Both were taken to Airedale Hospital by ambulance.
The Nissan driver was not injured.
Both vehicles were towed away and the accident scene was cleared by 6.45pm.
There were further problems on Tuesday morning.
Motorists struggled to negotiate the road over Elslack Moor, a car skidded through a wall into a field on the A65 at Ingleton, and another vehicle crashed into a telegraph pole near Leys Farm on Glusburn Moor. No injuries were reported.
