A FULL planning application to build more than 100 new homes off North Parade, Skipton, is to be lodged very shortly.

It comes two years after outline plans for 114 homes were approved by Craven District Council and will involve the purchase of a strip of Skipton Town Council-owned land.

Those opposed to the development claimed it would increase traffic in the area and put a strain on services.

Outline plans included 40 per cent affordable housing and a convenience store.

A spokesman for applicants Amenbury Property and Keyhaven Homes said a reserved matters application was expected to be submitted to Craven District Council in the next few days.
