STAFF from Marie Curie’s Bradford hospice took time out of their busy schedule to thank stairlift installer Paul Hazard and company secretary Dave Belmont of Steeton-based Acorn Stairlifts for generously supplying a number of stairlifts recently to enable terminally ill patients to return home.

Siobhan Drane, Partnership Manager for Marie Curie said: “We are extremely grateful to Acorn Stairlifts for these generous donations and we know that the stairlifts have made a huge difference to terminally ill patients and their families locally. A stairlift can be essential for anyone who has lost the freedom to use own home in comfort.”

Mr Belmont said: “We’re delighted that we’ve been able to help a number of Marie Curie patients in the area. Every nine minutes, an Acorn Stairlift is installed in someone’s home across the world and we pride ourselves on being able to provide this service as quickly as possible, which is particularly important when terminally ill people are wanting to return home.”
