NEARLY two hundred people from across the district packed into the Priory Church at Bolton Abbey for the 2015 St Cuthbert Lecture on Sunday.
The distinguished archaeologist and historian Professor Richard Morris offered an overview of the development over several centuries of the Priory, which became one of the most important religious communities of the Middle Ages in Craven.
His well-received lecture will be published on the Priory website in due course.
Next year’s St Cuthbert Lecture will take place on Sunday, March 13, and will be given by Dr Alan Billings, Police and Crime Commissioner for South Yorkshire.
