CRAVEN Volunteer Centre and local cancer support charity BE Bosom Friends are once again joining forces to organise a fundraising quiz night.

It will take place at Skipton Rugby Club on Tuesday, April 21, from 7pm and quizmaster will be Maurice White. Teams of up to six people can take part and a pie and peas supper is included in the £7 registration fee.

The event is being organised by Dee Pollitt, manager of the Volunteer Centre, and Debi Hawkins from Bosom Friends. Dee said: “Following on from the success of our two previous quiz nights we decided to hold another one as they have proved to be so popular with local teams – lots of fun and raising funds too!”

The proceeds will go towards further developing the work of the Craven Volunteer Centre and local cancer support group Bosom Friends.

Based in Barnoldswick, Bosom Friends has been running as a cancer support group for 15 years and has raised £250,000 to help support people affected by cancer in Pendle, Craven and Ribble Valley.

“Lots of people know Bosom Friends across Pendle as the charity is based in Barnoldswick,” said Debi. “But the charity has been supporting people in the Craven and Ribble Valley areas for over 15 years now and we want to raise awareness of this. The charity aims to give real practical help at what can be a devastating time.”
