THE Easter Bunny has been preparing for some "eggstra" fun at Bolton Abbey.

The estate is once again holding an Easter Egg Hunt where giant, oversized glittered eggs will be hidden among the trees for families to seek and count.

The hunt starts outside the Cavendish Pavilion and goes along the riverside footpath through Strid Wood.

Visitor manager Moira Smith said: “The Easter Egg Hunt is a great day out for all the family and the route is pushchair and wheelchair friendly, making it accessible for all."

Once completing the two-mile trail, children can meet the Easter Bunny who will be residing in her rabbit hutch outside the Pavilion and giving away free chocolate eggs.

The trail will be open from Good Friday to Easter Monday, between 10am and 4pm, and families can collect a trail form on arrival at the Riverside car park kiosk.

Normal admission charges apply of £8 per vehicle.
