ILKLEY are determined to keep the pressure on league leaders Sheffield as the North One East title race reaches a thrilling climax.

The South Yorkshire side lead the table by a single point and remain favourites to secure the one automatic promotion place with just two games to play.

They visit Percy Park on Saturday before finishing off with a home game against West Hartlepool a week later.

Ilkley, who are already guaranteed to finish at least second, are desperate to avoid the lottery of a play off.

Their remaining matches are away at Driffield on Saturday and home to Pocklington on April 18. Coach Rhys Morgan and his men know that his men can afford know slip ups.

Two wins and a bonus point in each for scoring four tries would be ideal, but Morgan knows that nothing can be taken for granted.

"We don't expect anybody to be doing us any favours so we have to keep plugging away and looking to continue the winning run we have been on.We have to ensure you we do all we can and hope that Sheffield have a blip."

Two influential players, lock Pete Small and centre Alastair Monks, are unavailable but James Colclough and James Crossley are ready to step in.
