A MAN from Sutton-in-Craven has appeared before magistrates in Northallerton, charged with rape, attempted rape and two charges of criminal damage.
Joseph Dawson, 24, of The Coppice, was given bail on Monday on condition he did not enter North Yorkshire, he followed a curfew between 7pm and 6am, he lived and slept at his address, and he did not contact directly or indirectly his alleged victim or prosecution witnesses.
The offences are alleged to have taken place in Skipton on Saturday.
He is due to make a preliminary appearance at Bradford Crown Court on Monday, April 27.
