A COMMUNITY venture in Cowling has donated a further £1,000 to local causes.
This brings the total money donated by NEW 2U to local groups and charities, to £5,600 in the past two years.
Latest recipients were The Salvation Army Keighley Branch, Cowling Hill Baptist Chapel, St Andrew’s Methodist Church, Cowling, and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
NEW 2U, which began two years ago, raises money by selling quality donations of unwanted new/nearly new clothes, bric-a-brac, media and books.
It is based in St Andrew’s Church, Walton Street, Cowling, and opening times are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2pm to 4pm and Saturdays from 10am to noon.
