CRAVEN District Council has apologised after some householders experienced delays in the emptying of their bins.
Technical problems with some of the refuse vehicles led to delays, but staff working flat up should have meant all collections were up to date by the end of last week.
Issues with the vehicles are also expected to be resolved shortly.
Paul Ellis, the council's Director of Services, said: “We are sorry that some members of the public have experienced delays to their refuse collections.
“This was due to issues out of our control which we are now resolving. If there are ever any delays to bin collections for whatever reason, we always aim to catch up as quickly as possible, usually the following day.”
