ONE of the UK’s fastest rising comedy stars is coming to Skipton on Wednesday night – and what’s more, you can see him for free.
Patrick Monahan, who won ITV’s Show Me the Funny in 2011 and has since gone on to appear in Splash, Celebrity Squares, Daybreak, Loose Women, Let’s Dance for Sports Relief, is headlining My Newt Comedy at The Castle Inn.
Resident compere and My Newt Comedy promoter Daniel J Kennedy said: “Pat’s star is rising and it’s rising fast. I, like many others in the industry, are confident that it won’t be long before he’s being talked about in the same breath as the likes of John Bishop, Michael McIntyre and Russell Howard – he really is that good."
Also performing will be Jed Salisbury, Matthew Fong, AFC Baggie and Lindsay Davies.
Entry is free, but those interested in attending are advised to reserve a table by contacting Calvin Dow at the bar on 01756 796304.
