PUPILS at a Barnoldswick high school have taken pride in their environment by taking part in a litter pick.
A group of year seven students at West Craven High School, accompanied by their headteacher Craig Baker, completed a litter pick of the school grounds last Monday.
In preparation for their Duke of Edinburgh Award, students are being introduced to the Good Citizen Award, which encourages pupils to take pride in their school, community and environment.
The Good Citizen Award consists of three elements - five hours of volunteering, five hours of doing a skill and completing a challenge.
As part of the volunteering component, students have been litter picking the school grounds.
