POLICE are hunting two teenagers who stole a 10-year-old boy's BMX from his bike yard in George Street.

Officers say the boy's mother saw the men with the bike on Castle Street but they fled towards Brougham Street when she shouted at them.

The theft occurred at 9.15pm last Tuesday and police are appealing for witnesses.

Both suspects as described as white and aged 15 or 16. One had a cream top and the other, who was about 5ft 8in tall, was wearing a navy blue/black top and dark coloured trousers.

The bike is black-framed and has several distinctive features, including yellow tyres at the front and green at the rear, an orange chain, red handlebar grips and a blue saddle featuring a picture of a skull.
