A SILSDEN resident used a garden hosepipe to tackle a shed fire next to his bungalow.
Fire crews from Keighley and Bingley responded to the incident in Waterside at 9pm on Sunday.
A spokesman for Keighley Fire Station said the wooden shed was well alight by the time crews reached the scene. He added that the fire had been sparked accidentally following some work to burn off nearby weeds.
"One of the occupiers of the bungalow was trying to fight the fire with a garden hose reel," he said.
"Both occupants were fine and were outside of the property. They did everything they should have done, and they had working smoke detectors.
"The shed was gutted and there was also damage to the gable end of the bungalow, two window frames and some neighbouring fencing."
