POLICE investigating a burglary in West Street, Gargrave, have issued an appeal to the public.

They want to hear from anyone who can help trace the stolen items.

The burglary occurred overnight on April 16 after thieves got in through an insecure door.

Their haul included a Phone Easy mobile phone, a JCB phone and a carrier bag with the "Herdy" motif which contained a mouse mat and USB mouse with the same distinctive motive. These are not available locally and can only be purchased in the Lake District.

A police spokesman said: "We are conducting inquiries and are requesting the public's assistance to help locate any of the items mentioned."
