CAMERON Duncan produced a stunning match-winning 101 not out as Prince Henry’s Grammar School clinched their place in the Lord’s Taverners’ Cup final.

He put the Richmond bowlers to the sword in the semi-final with a 55-ball innings containing seven sixes and eight fours as Prince Henry’s passed their opponents’ score of 131 to win by nine wickets.

They will now play Queen Elizabeth Grammar School, Wakefield in the final of a competition that is contested by independent and state schools.

“The team were fantastic – it was a great team effort. It is fabulous to reach the final, as the competition is often dominated by private schools. “Cameron’s innings, in particular, was spectacular,” said Dean Hyam, Area Leader for PE and team coach.

Prince Henry’s have already won one trophy this year after defeating Morley in the final of the Leeds Schools Cup.

They scored an impressive 197-4 off 20 overs and bowled Morley all out for 99.
