AN application by developers to change the layout and types of homes to be built at a site in Skipton is expected to go before planning chiefs on Monday.

Developers Skipton Properties Ltd have put forward a revised scheme for Elsey Croft, near Moorview Way, to Craven District Council planning chiefs.

If it gets the go-ahead, the new scheme will have 44 four-bedroom houses, 19 three-bedroom, 34 two-bedroom, and six one-bedroom homes. It has been recommended for approval by planning officers.

These figures include the revised scheme for 10 homes near the site entrance which was previously approved. The scheme provides for 40 per cent affordable houses and a total of 18 different house types.

The Elsey Croft development was bitterly opposed by some Skipton residents but it was allowed following a successful appeal to the planning inspectorate in 2013.
