Sponsored walk along the River Wharfe raises more than £3,600 for Macmillan Cancer Support
FOR the 11th year a band of enthusiastic walkers have stepped out on a sponsored walk, organised by Threshfield woman Norma Cahill.
The group followed a fascinating route along the river Wharfe from Threshfield to Burnsall before returning to Treshefield.
The sponsored walk raised £3,650 towards Macmillan Cancer Support.
Norma said: “A very big thank you goes to all walkers and supporters who helped us raise this fantastic amount of money.
She promised that the event will continue in years to come raising event more funds for charity.
She said:“We will be back next year to raise even more.”
