A YOUNG boy from Glusburn has qualified for an international video gaming competition for the second year in a row.
Jaden Davies, of Townend Place, will travel to Boston in North America later this month to take part in the 2015 Pokemon Video Gaming World Championships.
He competed in this event last year when it was held in Washington DC. On that occasion his older brother, Tom, now 15, also qualified. Tom finished 51st and Jaden 36th.
Jaden's mum, Ruth Davies, said he was hugely excited to learn he had made it through to the contest again.
The Sutton C of E Primary School pupil and is ranked tenth in Europe in the Pokemon game.
In Boston he will compete on a Nintendo DS games system in the juniors section for children up to the age of 11. The championships run from August 21 to 23.
Mrs Davies, who will accompany Jaden to the US, said: "It was an incredible experience last year. Very exciting, with thousands of people in a massive hall."
