GIGGLESWICK Horticultural Show proved a success, with lots of visitors taking advantage of the good weather.

The event – held in the Giggleswick Junior School Pavilion – was opened by Giggleswick School headmaster Mark Turnbull.

It was a successful day for Geoff Knights who took home four trophies. His haul included the Wright Cup for most points in the vegetable section, the award for the best fruit, the Booth Memorial Cup for the most points in vegetables and flowers and the Dut Cup for the best horticultural exhibit.
