Otley Town 3 Oxenhope FC 3

DESPITE the unseasonably poor weather, this game was a midweek treat as Town played out an extraordinary draw with last season’s County Cup Winners Oxenhope FC.

The visitors were the better side for the first 25 minutes and really should have capitalised. However, only a single goal to the good, they were rocked by a quick fire hat-trick from Toby Harris – taking his goal tally to five from two games – and found themselves 3-1 down at the interval.

As is often the case, Town failed to start the second half properly and Oxenhope soon hauled themselves level, to leave the game finely balanced. Both sides had their chances to grab a winner but in the end a draw was a fair result.
