THE 2015 Art in the Pen proved the busiest to date.

Held at Skipton Auction Mart, the event celebrated its 10th anniversary and was opened by creator Anthea Rathlin Jones.

An estimated 3,200 people attended over the weekend, an increase of around 750 people on the previous year.

"It was a great atmosphere and always looked busy," said the mart's artistic director Andy Lynan. "Exhibitors were thrilled at the amount of people coming through the doors and over £50,000 of artwork was sold."

The exhibition featured local and national artists in various different mediums including fine art, photography, wood, metal, glass and jewellery.

"We were not without our problems though," said Andy. "On Saturday our card payment machines went down at the same time. They were affected by all the metal in the building. But the feedback we have had from both exhibitors and visitors has been amazing, our best Art in the Pen yet - roll on 2016."
