MALHAM will showcase the very best of local agriculture and horticulture at its annual show on Saturday.

In addition to strong entries in the sheep and cattle classes, farmers will be hoping to be the first to have their name on trophies for the best hay and silage in new classes introduced this year.

And with record entries in the produce sections, there promises to be a fantastic array of horticulture, baking, artwork, photography and handicrafts for visitors to appreciate.

There are also plenty of attractions for dog owners. Canine companions can be entered on the day in classes such as best looking dog, bitch or puppy. There's even a class for the dog looking most like its owner!

In addition, there will be show jumping and mountain biking, as well as displays of working gun dogs and sheep dogs in the trailing arena.

This year sees a new orienteering event designed for children along with the usual sports, tug-of-war and fell races, which start at 3pm.
