TO celebrate the nationwide Community Energy Fortnight, a drop-in event will be held at Gargrave Village Hall on September 8.
The event is being organised by Community Energy in Gargrave and Malhamdale (CEGAM) and will run between 4pm and 8pm.
CEGAM will outline its mission to promote renewable energy technologies and energy conservation and its members will explain how community energy projects can be funded and operated at a profit for the benefit of the community.
Also present will be installers of solar, wind, hydro and biomass projects, as well as volunteers to advise on insulation and ways of cutting heating and electric bills.
