AN ANNUAL campaign encouraging people to shop locally has been launched in Cross Hills.
The venture, which runs throughout this month, is being staged by Main Street traders and South Craven Together.
Anyone spending £5 or more in a participating shop will receive a stamp and once they have six, will be entered in a prize draw.
Vouchers worth £100, £70 and £50 are up on offer.
There is no limit on the number of entries per person.
"Many of the shops in Main Street are taking part," said a spokesman.
"The aim is to encourage the residents of Cross Hills and surrounding villages to shop locally and support their community.
"It's surprising just how many different shops there are in Main Street, with many being independently-run stores.
"The owners would like to emphasise just how important the community's custom is."
