PEOPLE across Airedale are being given the chance to learn more about the work of the area's Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).

The public is being invited to attend the NHS Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven CCG annual general meeting and meet staff.

Clinical chairman Dr Colin Renwick said: "The CCG's role is to shape local health services so that patients and the public are at the heart of everything we do.

"At the AGM we'll be reporting back on some of the highlights of our work over the past year.

"Alongside this we'll also be updating the public on the new enhanced primary care services that GP practices in our area are trialling, such as extended appointment times for people with long-term conditions."

The event, at Ilkley Rugby Club on Thursday, September 17, begins at 12.30pm with a buffet lunch and the meeting will start at 1.15pm.
