AT least 400 employees took part in a staff event at Steeton's Airedale Hospital to celebrate diversity in the workplace.
Highlights of the event included a seminar about transgender, a video booth where staff were asked to record what delivering 'right care' meant to them, and meditation and massage sessions to help staff relax.
There was also a presentation of certificates to three employees – Jill Watts, Judith Craven and Claire Heal – who won Pride of Airedale awards for their achievements.
Staff could visit more than 30 interactive stalls, with entertainment provided by Bollywood-style dancers and a steel band. The occasion featured a buffet with food from around the world.
Bridget Fletcher, chief executive of Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, said: “The event was a real success – we had more staff take part this year than ever before."
