Ben Rhydding Ladies 6 Belper 1
BEN Rhydding Ladies got their season back on track after last week's dismal performance, with a fine 6-1 win against the newly promoted side Belper .
The home side started strongly with Jo Ellis scrambling the ball over the line after a flowing move down the right.
Two more goals from penalty corners, deflected in by Jen Wilson and Sarah Whitehead, the latter getting her first National league goal, saw the home side 3-0 ahead at half time.
Belper were struggling with the pace and form of the Rhydding side, which saw Ellis break through the defence and find Beth Cordukes free in the circle to sweep the ball home.
Belper pulled a goal back but further strikes from Eleanor Trafford and Tanisha Janzen made sure the home side came away with three Investec Women's Conference North points.
Rhydding travel to Brooklands Poynton on Saturday
