SKIPTON'S Greatwood Primary School has struck gold for a second time.
Following its recent gold award from the Youth Sports Trust, it has now achieved gold status in the Primary Science Quality Mark.
Science has been a key focus of the school's development plan over the past three years and initiatives such as a science focus year and science days have helped to raise the overall standard of provision as well as improving motivation and awareness of science as a subject.
Headteacher Garry de Castro Morland said he was delighted with the outcome after several years of hard work.
"Staff and children have been striving for the highest level award and have now been rewarded with another gold," he added.
