ANYONE studying or teaching sport is urged to attend a specialist conference next week in Skipton.

Organised by Craven College and held at The Skipton Academy, the sport science conference will be open to anyone with an interest in performance, coaching and improvement in sport.

Main speaker will be Charles Sprint, principal instructor for Ronin Budo (martial arts) and senior lecturer in sport management, development and martial arts for the University of Derby Buxton.

“This line-up will benefit everyone who has an interest in sport and wishes to develop their own performance or that of their team, club members or students," said organiser and college sports lecturer, Neil McKenzie-Jones.

"It will also be insightful to those wishing to pursue a career in one of the many aspects of this exciting industry.”

The conference is open to anyone studying A-level or BTEC Level 3 programme, undergraduate and post graduates of sport and its many related disciplines.

Teachers, members and coaches of schools, academies and sports clubs, who wish to attend independently and to support their students and member,s are also welcome.
