A FLOOD alert has been issued for the catchment areas of Glusburn Beck and Earby Beck.
The Environment Agency says water levels are beginning to respond to the persistent rainfall.
And it adds: "River levels are expected to rise and peak around lunchtime. We are not currently expecting to reach the level at which we would consider flood warnings. Rain will continue throughout the day and there may be localised heavier bursts at times."
The warning covers Glusburn Beck in Cross Hills and Sutton-in-Craven and Earby Beck and New Cut from Kelbrook to Broughton.
