PROPOSALS to site six holiday lodges at Gallaber Farm, Long Preston, are being recommended for approval.

The scheme will be decided by Craven District Council's Planning Committee on Monday following the intervention of ward councillor, Chris Moorby.

Neighbouring Hellifield Parish Council has objected to the scheme on the grounds it would detract from the visual amenity of the area, affect the level of privacy enjoyed by neighbouring properties and cause undue disturbance.

The council has also received 17 letters of objection, and two in support.
