SETTLE Primary School has four county champions on its roll.
Katie Wright, Jack Wright, Kayley Lynn and Elliot Marklew triumphed at the Lancashire Judo Championships in Blackburn and now join the North West Area Squad.
And Jorja Entwistle got silver and bronze medals in her respective pools and Harry Stringer, Isaac Eccleston and Tyler Caton, who also fought valiantly, picked up bronze medals. All pupils make the Area Squad.
Headteacher Richard Wright said: "These tournaments are tough and require a heightened level of skill and bravery."
The pupils train with Craven Judo Academy, which is based at Settle CE Primary School, and has two other county champions - Esmee Holgate, of Bentham, and Joel Ryan from Ingleton.
The academy - whose head coach is former GB athlete Danny Harper - has more than 60 members and hopes to expand in the spring to a new site in Bentham.
