PLANS to build houses in Cowling on a site previously refused for residential development, are being recommended for approval.
Resubmitted plans by Skipton Properties include the building of three, four bedroom homes on land off Acre Road.
In the past, the site has been the subject of refused applications by Skipton Properties for developments of up to 20 homes, which was refused on appeal in 2011.
The latest application, which is running alongside an identical application currently with the Planning Inspectorate, is being recommended for approval at Monday's Planning Committee meeting of Craven District Council.
Cowling Parish Council has objected to the scheme, on the grounds it is outside the village's development limits and within the conservation area, and that it has already been rejected by a government planning inspector.
Nine letters of objection have also been received, but councillors will be told the development would contribute to its five-year housing supply.
