VOLUNTEERS got together to transform a large outdoor space at Skipton's Ings Community Primary and Nursery School.
With the support of SELFA, Sarah De Nurtcheylo, of Nature House, and funds from the National Lottery, volunteers helped to create a forest learning area and an outdoor classroom.
The 'forest schools' approach will be developed as part of the curriculum and also through the after-school club.
Headteacher, Donna Makepeace, said: "This will support all of our children, from nursery through to Key Stage 2, to develop effective learning skills, including problem solving, trying out and testing new ideas, being independent and working as a team.
"I would like to thank the children, parents and staff of the school for their support and give a very special thank you to the team of volunteers from Tesco in Skipton and Josh from SHC Hire. At Ings we believe 'Together Everyone Achieves More' and we certainly did!"
