SKIPTON Properties is preparing to sell off the contents of a showhome to raise money for charity.

Items in the almost-completed Elsey Croft development – including double beds, chairs and tables – will be on the market from May 16.

Marketing director, Caroline Verity, said it is all part of the family firm's plan to raise £30,000 in its 30th anniversary year.

A team is busy preparing to climb the Yorkshire Three Peaks to raise the money for the Manchester Children's Hospital.

Caroline said: "Every showhome we create is filled with furniture we’d buy for our own homes.

"The showhome at Elsey Croft features a selection of furniture that has been hand-crafted by a furniture designer or bought from brands, such as Loaf and Sweetpea and Willow. There are three double beds, children’s furniture, sofas, a dining table and much, much more."

Almost all of the houses on the Elsey Croft site have been sold, and following the closure of the showhome, sales staff will operate from a site office.

The sale will run every day between 1pm and 5pm, until May 21. Items that cannot be taken away on the day will be delivered as part of the price.
