TO celebrate Local History Month and National Share a Story month, Skipton Library will hold a community fair on Tuesday, May 31, from 10.30am to 2.30pm.

People are invited to drop into the library, on High Street, to view the textile story cloth that tells the story of families moving to the Skipton area from abroad, and there’s a chance to view the Peace Quilt, which is being loaned for the event.

There will be activities for children throughout the event and a themed storytime session for children between 11.30pm to noon.

And stalls will be manned by a number of local groups and organisations, including Friends of the Wilderness, Soroptimists International, Broughton Road Women’s Group, Craven and the First World War Project, Skipton Food Bank, Parkinsons UK, SELFA, Friends of Raikes Road burial ground and Airedale Hospital.

Representatives will be on hand to answer questions and refreshments will also available.
