RECEPTION children at Settle Church of England Primary School have plenty of pedal power.
They have been learning how to ride their cycles with the help of Kathy Bashford, from Lancaster-based Pedal and Scoot.
Under her watchful eye, they learnt the basics of getting on and off their bikes without wobbling, braking safely, pedalling and balance.
And, with confidence growing, some were able to ride without the support of an adult for the first-time.
Reception teacher Amy Downham said: "It was truly amazing to see some children moving from a balance bike to independently riding a bike within one session. All of the children grew in confidence with their cycling and it has been a very positive experience for us all."
