A TEAM of year five pupils from Glusburn Primary School raised money for two charities at their latest event.
Proceeds went to animal welfare charity RSPCA and the British Diabetic Association.
Acting headteacher, Linda Hanson, said the five youngsters gave up their free time to bake buns, make bookmarks and organise quizzes.
She added: “These were sold to the other children in school at break times in the morning and afternoon.
“The girls were Scarlett Smith, Katie Kilner, Grace Lee, Lillimae McCamon and Grace Oglie. They raised a total of £114, which will be split equally between the two charities.”
The British Diabetic Association, based in London, offers advice about diabetes care, diet, family weekends, holidays for children and literature on all aspects of diabetes, while The RSPCA aims to improve the welfare of animals on farms, in research labs, the wild, paddocks or in homes.
