PRIMARY school pupils put their detective skills to the test at a forensic science day.
The event was staged at Kettlewell Primary School and involved other cluster schools, including Burnsall and Cracoe & Rylstone.
"This was an amazing opportunity for the children to experience real life crime scene investigation," said Cracoe and Rylstone School administrator Helena Washington.
"The pupils got to take their hand-prints, footwear marks and hair and fibre samples home with them and all pupils received a 'keyring' showing their own unique fingerprint as a memento of the day. They were also allowed to keep their white SOCO suits."
