A MAN is in police custody after being arrested at a property in Coniston Cold on suspicion of the illegal possession of a firearm.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said: "Police attended a property in Coniston Cold, near Skipton, at about 12pm at the request of court enforcement officers.
"At 3pm, a man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm without a certificate. He remains in custody at this time, as enquiries continue. "
