The show, which involved around 120 children in Key Stage two, was a musical and theatrical extravaganza telling the story of William Shakespeare.

Pupils in Year six took on leading roles including William Shakespeare, Anne, Shakespearean actors, theatre company directors and Romeo and Juliet.

While, pupils in years three, four and five, performed songs and dances.

“ We are so proud of all the children and the amazing way in which they have learnt lines, songs and routines, as well as the way they have worked together to put on such an entertaining and enjoyable production ” said Deputy headteacher, Jenny Macnab,

The children also took part in a costume and scenery day during which they made props, backdrops and designed the programme front cover .
