A NEW place for people to meet in Settle to find out about the community and network has had its first open day.
The Settle Community and Business Hub was thought up by resident Jo Rhodes, with the aim of setting up a central hub for people to gather informally.
The hub is fitted with fibre broadband, giving high speeds for anyone wanting to drop in forf hot desking sessions.
It will also be home of Settle Timebank, a skills swap initiative, and an interview space for Dales Radio.
Centred in Commercial Courtyard, between Ashfield Car Park and the High Street, it runs twice a week on Tuesdays, between 10am and 4pm, and on Fridays, between 12 midday and 5pm.
The Hub building will also be available for hire for meetings, workshops or community events. To find out more, email hub@settlecommunityandbusinesshub.org.uk, telephone 07977 040329, or visit the website settlecommunityandbusinesshub.org.uk
