A VERITABLE Aladdin's Cave awaits visitors to an open afternoon at Settle Town Hall tomorrow (Friday).

The several businesses, including boutiques and artists' studios, in the now full hall in the centre of the town will be inviting people in for the first free event since the completion of the restoration of the Grade two listed building.

There will be workshops and talks and a wine safari, sponsored by Booths Supermarket.

Restoration took place in 2011 and with the building now fully occupied, businesses hope people will want to see what is on offer.

Workshops and talks will include furniture painting, clothes design, bathroom disco, and a lesson on how to ge better returns from savings. Settle Stories will be offering a taster session in mindfulness and creativity sessions, while Studio Vault are give people the chance to try copper enamelling. Gavagan Art will also present a guided tour of its current exhibition.

Settle Town Council will also be in attendance, with information about the council.

The free open event will run from 2pm to 7pm.
