BANCROFT Mill Engine Trust in Barnoldswick will hold its penultimate steaming of the 2016 season on Sunday.
Visitors to Bancroft Mill, on Gillians Lane, will have the opportunity to see Lancashire’s largest surviving steam mill engine running, and a second steam engine under restoration may be seen turning by electric motor.
There will be guided tours (subject to available volunteers), weaving explanations, a flaming antique boiler, café, gift shop and a collection of model steam engines to view, with some hopefully in steam and some for sale.
The museum will be open from 11am to 4pm and the engine will run at intervals between 1pm and 3.45pm.
The trust also announced it has had to cancel a proposed steaming on December 4 due to essential maintenance.
